I die. Seriously, that is hilarious. Sometimes I feel that way... on both sides of the table! It's good to know I'm not the only author who ever received editorial direction I disagreed with, and not the only editor whose direction has been scorned.
ReplyDelete*grin* My favourite part is "'Whoops!' Hamlet falls off the battlements." When I was writing the first draft of the end of Cupid and Psyche, I often grumbled that I would just have them both fall to their dooms and have done!
